For the record, I only put my shirt on at the end of the ride, when the sun set. It's chilly here in the upper midwest.

For bargains on radical undies, I recommend Marshalls/TJ Maxx.
I've got a brand-new green bra + monkey drawers set just itchin' to be viewed by the puritanical Minnesota viewing public.

Only if you didn't wash them.

Edit: And let's go matching.

Last year, I watched you'll cross the stone arch bridge..

For that weekend I'll be bike camping at MN state park, but will be heading back Sunday morning.. So, with luck, I'll be there...

I have the same underwear mikeybobikey is wearing in those pictures and was planning to wear them but was unfortunately unable to make it out for the ride last year. I say go for it!

Maybe we could do this on flag day and everyone would have to wear patriotic undies?

mmmm...I'd salute that!

Flag day is June 14th. If we're going to plan that far in advance, why don't people just remember to keep the 4th of July clear next year. Patriotic undies very appropriate on independence day as well.

Mark it on your calenders folks, Monday July 4th, 2011

Believe it or not 13oC, the 4th of July is generally a much more schedule conflicting day than Flag Day. "Sorry family, I'd make the picnic this year and all but I really have to get drunk and ride around minneapolis in my underwear...ya know, to honor the troops."

*Priorities*, people.
We ride in the evening, so many people come after their familial obligations. Or, how about inviting your families to ride with us? To be honest, I've never seen anyone have more than a few beers, over several hours, on this ride. It's not a drunk ride.
Besides, if we did it on Flag Day (whatever the heck that is), we wouldn't have an audience of thousands of fat Minnesotans on the river - and all their varied reactions to our skin.

And for the record, the 4th of July is not about "honoring the troops."
*Independence* Day celebrates our separation from the bloody Brits.
