Anyone have a preference as to brand? Can I find them locally at all or do I have to order them?

The two options I've found:

I had some performance bike Forte skewers. Wheels wouldn't stay on. Now I use some brand I got at Erik's. They work a lot better, but I don't remember what they're called.

I use pitlocks and like them thus far.

OK. I'm confused.

The wheel skewers make sense. The seat post skewers make sense. The front fork lock makes sense. But what the hell stops someone from just taking 20 seconds and undoing your saddle by way of the allen-wrench bolt that attaches it to your post?

Nothing. That's why, paranoid as I am, I put a ball bearing in the socket hole and secured it with nail polish. Then a wrench won't work.
By the way, I also did this to my headset.
Bill.

Ok, that's what I was thinking too.

Thanks
