Anyone in town have a data plan with AT&T? Can you speak to their level of coverage and reception and speed in the metro? I just got an iphone 4s with Sprint, but I am underwhelmed by the data speeds. Thinking of switching to AT&T, but I have a friend who had a lot of reception issues, particularly in the Longfellow neighborhood, a year or two ago.
Thanks!

I've had AT&T with my iPhone for 4 years now...I have good coverage almost everywhere in the metro, with the exception being a tiny portion of spots downtown. The data speeds have been good enough to stream music for me (getting about 1.5 Mbps DL inside the building I work at on faux 4G with iPhone 4s). I don't do too much geeky-stuff on my phone though...just the typical internetz, instagrammin, twitter stuff. Never had an issue with data in the metro.
The only time I think AT&T sucks is when I get out to rural areas. My Verizon friends always have coverage/data, but I'm No Serviced.
TL;DR: AT&T has treated me well in the metro area for 4 years

Thanks, Reptile. My usage is the same: some web browsing, map using, music streaming. And I don't leave the city much, so I'm not too concerned with rural. I've never had a phone from any provider that worked in the rural areas my parents/wife parents live in. Although I've never had Verizon....
Are you happy with the voice stuff? Clarity? Dropped calls?
I just went for a walk about the Seward neighborhood, running the Speedtest app at various locations. Sprint never topped 1 Mbps DL and usually hit more around .2 - .8 Mbps. Unlimited data is cool and all, but kinda worthless if it's so painful to actually acquire it.

I had AT&T but switched to sprint. nothing wrong with my service, it's just what happened when I moved away from an iPhone to Android
I enjoyed my coverage and the clarity and speed was fine. the only issues I ran into are the same you would with any coverage (service inside some big-box stores sucks)

I'm happy with the voice-stuff, but I'll admit that I rarely talk on the phone...pretty much just to my gal and parents. I would say that in my 4 years of having AT&T, I've only had a handful or two of dropped calls. My gal drops calls over by Target Field on Glenwood on her way home from work and that's about it. In terms of clarity, I don't notice anything less than what I would expect. But like I said, my gal and I share 450 minutes/month and roll over ~350 of those so your mileage may vary.
