Putting some feelers out there for a 60cm frame to replace my 62cm Cross Check. After riding it for a couple years I've decided its too big for me. If you've got a 60cm Cross Check or similar frame let me know.

Want to borrow: A women-specific Brooks saddle, preferably a B-68 S. My girlfriend is interested in buying one but wants to try it out before she spends the money. If anyone would be willing to lend me one so she could try it out for a few days I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

If the borrowed saddle is broken in to someone else's sit bones it might not be a good indication of how comfortable that saddle might be. Seems there's no good way to test the water with a leather saddle- you just have to jump in. (My wife's thinking about a Brooks- same problem.)

FYI, http://www.wallbike.com/ has a six-month return policy on saddles and many, many models of Brooks saddles.

Purchase it from REI. You can return anything for any reason.
edit: She's not going to return it.

I'm not sure which specific model, but my partner's willing to lend hers as long as it can be picked up this Thursday evening (5/17) and dropped back off on Monday 5/21. I tend to agree with the others though, its just sort of something to dive into.

edit: She's not going to return it. Does REI have B-68? (I'm not being snarky, that's the one I want to try too, but I didn't think they carried it.)

Seems there's no good way to test the water with a leather saddle- you just have to jump in. (My wife's thinking about a Brooks- same problem.) I think any newish Brooks would probably be best, as she'll have to deal with the hard leather feel for some time. I agree, it wouldn't be a fair test to give her one that is extremely broken in, especially because she is only about 100 pounds. I've been wondering about how significantly her size will slow the breaking-in process. Any input on this? I'm around 170 pounds and my oldest brooks, a B-17, is around 5 years old. It's broken in to an extent, but even after thousands of miles it doesn't feel that different from my newest Brooks Flyer (comparing only the B-17 tops, the springs certainly have an impact) -- and in my opinion they are both very comfortable. Anyway, after thinking about it a bit, I think I'm just going to throw one of mine on hers, even though it isn't a model designed for a woman, she should at least know if riding any non-plush saddle will be doable. She complains about the stock saddle that came on her Linus, so I'm pretty curious to hear what she thinks about a Brooks.

I'm looking for a friend - SS or geared road bike. Looking for a frame to fit short legs, longer arms.
Ready to ride is preferred, but I'd entertain just the frame, as well.
Thanks!
