Riding wobbly is played out. Gotta know your limits, and if one can't ride safely then it's as bad as those yuppies rolling into the Caribou coffee shop with messenger bags and brakeless fixed gears.
I'm not trying to be grumpy or anything, just don't want to read too many more new alcohol-fueled crash stories. Especially the permanent kind.

The thing about drinking and operating is that with a drunk driver, all you have to do is take the keys. But with a drunk biker, you have to take the whole damn bike.
They should make large training wheel for those that are incapable of drunk riding.

I crashed over the weekend after drinking a good amount. I was hugging the side to much and had my handelbars clip a edge of a car and I went down.
I was probobly still good to bike though.

I had a night a couple of weeks ago where I was too drunk to ride and I'm glad I didn't. The night involved a significant amount of whiskey followed by a few pints of beer at Grumpy's (downtown) followed by another shot of whiskey at which point I ceased recording the night's events to memory. I was happy to wake up in my bed the next (late) morning. Hang over lasted two days. That's not going to happen again for a while.
On another occasion, I fell at the bottom of the Nicollet ave ramp to the Greenway. I was traveling very slowly making the turn to the east and I tipped over. Only my pride was bruised. I then fell against the door while attempting to get the keys out of my pocket.
Many winter falls involving alcohol, but I suspect the ice/snow was at least 50% at fault.

I did that once. I didn't realize until 10 min before leaving for work the next morning that I'd broken a bottle of jameson in there and soaked everything. I kept my bag shut and stuffed way under the desk that day...

You guys give me too much credit. I was far too hung over to want to drink that morning.

My theory is, if you're hungover, then you haven't drank enough. It's much easier to wake up with a good buzz still on. Then you can let yourself down slow by sucking a strap now and then.

i, um, i remember (or rather, i don't remember) wobbling home from the t-rock this winter. i was way, way too drunk to ride and i am lucky i got home in one piece, or at all.

so they can push you when you're too drunk to get going yourself? that just makes them accessories!
