On my morning commute today I saw 5 - FIVE - wild turkeys
running wildly through the brush near Valley View Rd. It was totally
exhiliarating to hear them crunching down leaves and see
their wings and gobblers up close.
Use this forum to post other cool encounters with nature/animals that
you've had on rides past or present.

Doe I saw on my commute home almost every day at Father Hennepin Park in Fall 08 and Spring 09. Haven't seen her since. One time she got close enough for me to touch her head.   Hawk (really bad cell pic, sorry) eating lunch right next to bike trail near warehouses at the north end of the Diagonal Trail.

Yea, thats what i thought when i first saw this thread. I expected to see people sharing stories about awesome times pooping in the woods. God i love pooping in the woods.

Saw some turkeys near 54th and Minnehaha pkwy and on the MRT/113 trail on the S side on the Mendota bridge along with the rabbits, squirrels, rabbits, etc.

last winter in the park by some falls...\ and i love being the 1 fresh set of tire tracks in the snow its like riding on a fluffy lil cloud, OMG LOOK A TURKEY

Trying to convince Svenn to not hate? Why don't you try to convince the sun to not shine?
Ted and I saw a couple of deer near where the Luce Line meets Theo Wirth. I thought it was pretty neat but I think Ted wanted to hurry back to the Greenway to see if the trail watch was still going on.

possums are cute till the bite you with their razorlike rodent teeth... friend lives in FL, had an infestation that she didn't know about, till she stuck her hand in the cupboard to grab a bowl for her daughter and got chomped.
