But we need the details of the holiday! - just kidding - the details will be even better after the trip. Make it for a short time if you can - I believe the weather is going to be cooperative.

Did the start time change from 8pm? I'm hoping to make it, will be on a black Motobecane with yellow bar tape.

No - the time did not change, we are doing more rides for Bike Walk Week - I will post more later, but rides are scheduled at 6, 7, and 8 pm. And we are meeting at the tent that will be across from the Midtown Bike Center. Normally we meet at the east entrance of the Midtown Global Market on Tenth Avenue, just south of the Greenway.

Super awesome! It's a good week to be a cyclist in Minneapolis! (well, every week is a good week, but this week is even better!)

Excellent stuff! I will be co-leading the 7pm ride and hope to meet some more lovely bikelove ladies.
May the weather be lovely and the wind be always at our backs (ok, impossible I know, but one can always hope...)

So today's the day for a great ride - the weather is forecasted to be fabulous, winds dying down as the rides start and fantastic fabulous women to ride with - what more could we ask for.

For those reading the forum and are not yet Trail Watchers, the rides are at 6, 7, and 8 pm tonight. A white tent will be set up across from the Midtown Bike Center and our allies, the Trail Watch men will be manning the tent (in other words, they're working, we're riding!).

Helmets required, lights after dark please! I'm so looking forward to this.

this is like, no surprise, but some comments on the Strib article are maddening. like the one person trying to tell women how to bike: "ladies don't forget to signal your turns." yeh, thanks, we can handle it! stop lecturing us like we are below you for some reason.

grrrrr.

Don't EVER read Strib comments. Unless you are testing the upper limits of your blood pressure.

Whomever said that is probably not a cyclist. I like to think that cyclists don't talk down to other cyclists (m or f) like that!

WOW - WOW - WOW I had the best time ever last night - met some great new ladies, rode with some I knew but hadn't ridden with yet, and just plain had fun. Got to hand out free lights!

Thanks to all you rode, those who supported us, and thanks Jeremy for creating BikeLove so I had the opportunity to do this.

Can we do it again next week?

(I admit I just put the last one in there for the earring...)

My photos aren't that great, but I was on a bike protecting the innocent and ushering in a new generation of trail patrol at the time.

xox,
