Is anyone going to BFF? The BFF after parties can be really "dudelicious." I think there are a few ways we can change this, and make it a better event for WTFs. 1. Showing up for the group ride to the MIA rockin' some green and white is a great way to show solidarity with the Grease Rag WTFs.
2. A radical friend of mine wants to take back BFF, especially the after party on Saturday, 7/17. Do you have any ideas for feminist action that could be used to take back the BFF? PM me and I'll pass on your info.
3. GO OUT AND MAKE A FILM.

Regarding #2: WTF Event at the BFF- Ride and Party! Saturday, July 17th Details here: http://greaseragmpls.wordpress.com/2010 ... wtf-night/The goal of WTF Night is to create a safer space for all by showing up to BFF and the after party at One on One Bicycle Shop as a unified mass of fun-loving WTF bicyclists. Come party with us! Join us at 9 PM for the BFF Urban Bike Shorts program at the Cedar Cultural Center. After the films (around 10:30 PM) we’ll meet at the bus stop nearby before we roll to Gold Medal Park to meet each other, shake hands, bump fists, whatever, so we can all arrive at the One on One party as a unified group of WTF friends.
Once we get to the party we agree to support each other to create a positive, WTF-friendly space with our presence and camaraderie. Here’s a map and schedule, check it out and join us! If you’re not going to the film and would like to meet up for the ride, you can always call me- I put my phone number in the comments of the Grease Rag post. Meet Up Prior to WTF Night- Friday, July 16th If you’d like to meet some of the rad feminists responsible for organizing the WTF Night at BFF, or if you’d like to lend a hand, there will be a meeting to discuss Patriarchy Bingo, a route for the group ride, or whatever comes up: Friday, July 16th at 3:30 PM at the Grease Pit I’m really looking forward to this weekend!

Meet, Greet, and Eat! Picnic following Babes in Bikeland alleycat race. Pumped about this event! See you there? (I'll be holding a plate of vegan cookies while playing croquet and simultaneously doing yoga for WTF cyclists...)

He’s big. He’s green. His favorite activity is smashing patriarchy and all forms of oppression. He’s Feminist Hulk, and since he first burst onto the Twitter scene less than a month ago he’s gathered more than 10,000 followers, who gleefully re-Tweet his 140-character commentaries on gender, feminism and his own personal superhero, feminist theorist Judith Butler. Tweeting in all-caps, this size-XXXXXXL superhero fights for social justice and breaks down the gender binary–all the while looking “smashing” in purple shorts with a big smile on his face. Here’s how he talks to his Tweeps: Quote: HULK USE ALL-CAPS. HULK CHOOSE NOT TO IMPOSE HIERARCHY ON LANGUAGE. PLUS, BIG HULK FINGERS MAKE SHIFT-KEY PROBLEMATIC.
HULK MAKE CAPITALIZATION EXCEPTION FOR bell hooks. I snorted when I read this. (Thanks, tim_135!!)

Dang. I went and bought new lipstick that looks like crap on me AGAIN. How do I always do this? Oh yeah... I don't know what the fuck I'm doing.
I generally just use chapstick, but sometimes I think, "OOOh, I'm gonna be one of those pretty girls who wear lipstick." I should save myself a whole bunch of time and throw six bucks in the trash instead of trying to paint a face on top of my face. Frustrations.

I would offer some help... but I'm obviously useless.Tinted chapstick is harder to get wrong. Or what about black? Black goes with everything, right?

Count me as one of the guys who hates makeup. You are perfect the way you are.
But if you do use makeup it's you.
