I swung by the rink at McRae on Friday or Saturday and it was at least 2/3rds melted then.

Do we want to play on Thursday? It'll be a bit cooler than it's been lately but I'm gonna check out the Slarmy lot this afternoon and see if it's clear enough to play there during the week.
The lot was exactly as empty at 6:00 Tuesday as it was on Sunday afternoon with a couple cars around but none in the section we played in. With the projected high on Thursday being less than freezing I doubt I would make it out to play.

McRae was still fully covered with snow yesterday morning. With some snow possible in the forecast this week it may be a couple weeks before we're able to play there.

Slarmy lot this past Sunday:

Here's what we did on Sunday. ;)

Namely serving up donuts and placing 5th in Little Rock.

Here is a rough outline for polo pickup this year.

Tuesdays(5pm-Dark) and Saturdays(1pm-5pm) at Corcoran Park.

Thursdays(5pm-Dark) and Sundays(1pm-Dark) at McRae Park.

Everybody is welcome to come and play any day of the week.

Of special note, Saturdays will be intermediate and new player day. With the focus being on building skills of new players. Veteran players are welcome but they will be there to teach, not to slay.

Beginner Saturdays will officially begin on April 16th.

In addition, pretty much every time we play we tweet to @pickuppolo.

Rats. I've got a prior committment or I'd be there. For as close as this is to my house, I can swing by any other time, though. Still, a little instruction would be a great thing.

The weather on this Saturday is looking to be shite. If it is actively raining around or after 1pm please keep an eye on @pickuppolo for postponement news.

That being said, 40F is about the best polo weather ever.

We will for sure be hosting another new player day the following Saturday April 23rd.

And of course Polo at McRae TONIGHT at 5pm.
