Hi My wife and I own a place about 50 miles NE of St. Paul. It sits on 20 acres, has a small trout stream and is in the middle of great biking roads. We are west of Prairie Farm, north of hwy 64.
We have a master suite that will include double showers, double tub, fireplace in the suite etc.
We are wondering if it is worth developing a small business centered around cycling. We are considering being open on a limited number of weekends in the fall of the year.
Rather than a set price, we are thinking more of a tip for service arrangement. We would then invite those back that provide us some financial reward as well as developing a relationship with people.
We are hoping it would be a step above couch surfing and warm showers.
What are your thoughts? Would you be interested in a weekend get away at a nice home in the country that is reasonably priced? What types of service would you like? Would you like food supplied, or, a shared kitchen arrangement?
BTW - We are not open and only now beginning to consider this as an option.

Thanks Kuando
You reminded me of a host on the Northern Tier up near Milaca, MN I believe it was. My daughter and I were touring last summer and rode past this old farm. The owner had set up his old machine shed as a bike hostel. He offered the space for free.

Awesome idea. Have a couple kittehs around for guests to pet, and I might be able to convince my gf to visit there.

Between the Gateway trail, and the trail that just opened between Osceola and Amery, I think this would make an awesome, easy trip.
