Freewheel is a great shop but I wish they would kind of devote more space to the coffee shop part. I'm not even sure what I mean by this. I guess I just wish it was a little more separated fro the rest of the store. I guess I wish it was set up a bit more like Sob!Cars-R-Coffins! Sob!Sob!Oh God, I can't talk any more!

One of the best shops I've been to. I haven't checked out their parts and bikes room, nor used their rentals, but their cafe is awesome. The employees working it are damn cool and always up for a convo. I brought my just purchased craigslist bike in last week just needing a quick seat adjustment and to check on my tubes, but wound up having the seat post cleaned, filed, and lubed, and the seat tube re-bored. Another perk is that shop is open to the public at a rate of $16 per hour. I haven't had to do this yet, but it's a sweet deal for people that don't have all the tools at home or a space at home.

They are baking up some yummy scones in the cafe area here. I'm impressed how great the food has become since they opened their doors! I'm definitely a coffee shop epicure and this place ranks among the best the TC has to offer.

Cheffelipe has more than a little to do with that.

Stopped in today to look at studded tires. Got some real world advice from two separate employees. "I've ridden both of these" is the kind of sales speak I like to hear. I was then left to decide on my own, which I always appreciate.

Also, "buy one, get one half off before the first snow" is a great deal.

Yup. Dudes hooked me up when my stupid fat bike broke doing the sweet fire jump. Thanks for helping me get home.

I really dig this shop! I live about 5 blocks away now, and I stop in many mornings to fill my coffee mug and grab a delicious scone, and sometimes a sammich or cookie. Cheffelipe comes up with some great scones and salads.
Its also really nice to have so many people I want to chat with, working there - it becomes hard to leave and go to work!

Stopped in for a derailleur adjustment a few weeks back, done with a smile. In and out in 15 minutes.

Stopped in for my first time today. Gotta say that I'm kind of surprised they don't sell bikes there. I stopped in specifically to take a test run on a Cross Check but was surprised when they said they don't carry bikes there. I understood but it still seemed funny. I headed on down the path

Yup, the helpful guy at the counter let me know how to get there ;)

I wasn't annoyed, and the reasoning was totally sound. I found it plain funny more than anything

Ran into a group of 15 adolescents under an overpass on the way and called the cops
