Baby PTB will turn 1 this summer, making him trailer-eligible. Which one should I get?
Ideally, I'd like to find one that comes with 30 airbags, kevlar armor, crumple zones, an active collision-detection-and-avoidance system, and satnav. It should also weigh 15oz or less, look badass, and makes me faster.
I'd settle for one that pulls smooth, has an easy connect/disconnect, and works well for hauling little ones.
Considering "multi-use" trailers that can do other stuff, like serve as a stroller. In my experience, however, things that are built to do more than one thing rarely do any one of them very well. See "hybrid" bikes.
Thoughts much appreciated.

Q rolls in trailers that came cheap. We have two ancient Burleys (free and $25) and a Schwinn from the Goodwill that could be bought at Target. We like that it has the stroller attachment.
I have a lot I could say on this topic and not much time to spend on web forums. Feel free to PM me for my phone # and we could chat about it.
Do you plan on winter riding? If so avoid trailers with hydraulic parts in the hitch. Old Burleys don't.
Do you have multiple bikes you will be using? The new hitches are bike-specific or you have to get a bunch of hitches which aren't cheap. Older ones can switch easily between bikes.
Will you be biking in the rain? Burley has a nice rain fly - we've biked through thunderstorm downpours will Q was warm and dry. The Schwinn leaks a bunch.
I like the Burley's cargo space better, too. Q has less space, but we can easily fit him, 2 or 3 bags of groceries, and a case of beer. In the Schwinn we have to chose between beer and food. Q likes the beer option because they give out candy at the beer store.
Get a cheap umbrella stroller and a bungee cord and toss the stroller in the back of the trailer. It's lighter and more flexible that the stroller attachments and is easier to manipulate in crowds.
BTW - each parent makes these choices themselves, but we had Q in the trailer in a car seat strapped in at 6 months (April) and will most likely have Daphne in a trailer before then. The car seat provides enough support for their little noggins, which was our main concern.
