Elitist much? Joe schmoes keep your coffee hot, your food tasty, and your bike in good condition.

And they can spit in your food if you piss them off.

Most likely - gordanfreman's previous post was Sept. 25, 2010.

From what I've seen, all of the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark all allow mopeds on bike paths. I presume all of the EU allows mopeds on bike paths.

This confuses me. I thought if it was done in Europe, it was supposed to be good?

Are we pro moped and e-bikes or anti-Europe now?

Please don't quote the spam. That makes you seem like a spammer too.

So this "assist bike" goes 28 mph. It's time to start taking this seriously and call them what they are. They are motorized vehicles and they don't belong in bikelanes or on bike trails.

done.

As it says in the first paragraph:

Quote:
so fast, in fact, that the top speed of 28 miles per hour violates U.S. laws governing electric bikes.

It would currently be illegal to ride that bike in bikelanes or on bike trails in the US.

At that point what becomes of the recreational trails or where do people go for recreation? I thought the whole purpose of having these areas was to create a safe place/enviornment for such activities. No at all unlike providing sidewalks for pedestrians. Things going such speeds have no place among folks pushing baby strollers.
