Went to One on One today asking about the basement. They told me that it would open on the Tuesday after Labor Day. I will hold my breath until then. :?

I wandered into One on One for the first time yesterday.

I think I spent two hours down there and have never been happier.

I didn't know it closed. Is that a summer thing?

EDIT, thanks NT, I didn't see the OP date...

It was a thing with the city, I think. Something about a license to sell refurbished/used equipment. It was back open quite awhile ago.

If you feel like you're being ripped-off don't buy it.

But I know what you're saying. In some cases you just don't have any choice. I once paid $20 for a thumb shifter mount. That said, it came off of a mint XC Pro i found in the used parts bin downstairs. GeneO didn't believe I had found it there until I pointed out that I could've just pocketed it and he'd been none the wiser. In the end I really needed a mount and lets face it, Suntour thumbies aren't exactly littering the street these days. Plus, he could've said "no" and sold the shifter for $50.

On the other hand, I paid $40 cash (down from $50) for a lower-end Mavic 138 rim laced with a LX hub that was in great shape and perfect for my SS project. I felt $40 was reasonable.

I guess it comes down to how much you need the part...

Yeah, you should ask the guy from a certain local shop who pocketed something from the basement and bragged about it to his friends. He doesn't have a job there anymore....

I was looking at crank arms today, and they had a few that had three "fingers" instead of the usual five (or four) for the chainwheels.

What did these come off of?

Well, lower end Peugeots had 3 fingers on the crank instead of 5. Gotta see a picture to know what kind it was.

Here's a PN10/LE catalog picture

vs.

PX-10/LE

I ran into SkrnyGphr in the one on one basement today.

He did find some good stuff.

I only walked away with a 24T and 28T 74mm crank rings.
