Went to One on One today asking about the basement. They told me that it would open on the Tuesday after Labor Day. I will hold my breath until then.

It was a thing with the city, I think. Something about a license to sell refurbished/used equipment. It was back open quite awhile ago.

In some cases you just don't have any choice. I once paid $20 for a thumb shifter mount. That said, it came off of a mint XC Pro i found in the used parts bin downstairs. GeneO didn't believe I had found it there until I pointed out that I could've just pocketed it and he'd been none the wiser. In the end I really needed a mount and lets face it, Suntour thumbies aren't exactly littering the street these days. Plus, he could've said "no" and sold the shifter for $50. On the other hand, I paid $40 cash (down from $50) for a lower-end Mavic 138 rim laced with a LX hub that was in great shape and perfect for my SS project. I felt $40 was reasonable. I guess it comes down to how much you need the part...

I was looking at crank arms today, and they had a few that had three "fingers" instead of the usual five (or four) for the chainwheels.
What did these come off of?

What did these come off of? Well, lower end Peugeots had 3 fingers on the crank instead of 5. Gotta see a picture to know what kind it was. Here's a PN10/LE catalog picturevs. PX-10/LE

I ran into SkrnyGphr in the one on one basement today.
He did find some good stuff.
I only walked away with a 24T and 28T 74mm crank rings.
