So sorry, joe- WRONG TUNNEL. This one's bigger!
See in my picture there are holes in the walls
and the concrete is divided into segments?
Try again.

BTW, the monument is at 45.0370°N, over 2.5 mi north of the 45th Parallel. However, there is a rock with a plaque marking the parallel at the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Theodore With Parkway. Curiously, the northern cornerstone of the Grain Belt Brewhouse, where I used to work, is on the 45th parallel, as is the building I work in now. Bizarro.

Is that a handcuff in that picture, Joe? Heh, looks like somebody got locked to the memorial...

so it's been alluded to, but the weird science at that memorial, as far as i know, has to do with the reflections on the marble (or whatever the hell). there are some benches that flank a large wall, and if you stand on one bench, facing the other, with a partner, you can create kerrazy optical illusions (you know, you stick one leg and arm, and half your torso, and because of the reflection it looks like a full person).
weird science indeed.

I can't recall a ride report of yours that mentions the Luce Line Trail. I'm thinking about where it goes under 494 in Plymouth. It's certainly closer that some places you go (Fridley and the CR Dam, for example), but it's a bit obscure for the purposes of this contest.

I don't think that can be it. Unless I'm mistaken, the shape of the trail visible outside the tunnel is all wrong for the tunnel I have in mind. I think I'll ride over there on lunch and get my photo.

tee hee hee... I was just there recently as well, but I didn't stop for a picture either.
I went back over to that neck of the woods on my lunch break and took this photo:
Rad, is this correct?
